He completed his MBBS from Seth GS Medical College, Mumbai, and MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai. He received extensive training in Gynaecologic Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and was the first recipient of the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology and Oncosurgery. He has also undergone two years of training in the UK.
